Food

Puerto Rican sandwiches and Alcapurrias will be available for your munching pleasure. You're welcome to bring something as well. Some nice additions to this meal would be: a fruit tray, a veggie tray, plantain chips, or dessert.

BYOB

If you know of any cocktails ideal for brunch, with a Puerto Rican twist, you're welcome to bring some. Endulge your inner barista! I will attempt to make a "Kima Mintini" it was kiwi, mango, mint, and a splash of bacardi.

Music
What are your favorite Puerto Rican singers? We'll compile a list and play our own CD. ;o)

Looks like it was a good time. The pictures look great. Unfortunately my daughter got sick and couldn't make it. But I was there in spirit. I hope to meet up with you all next time. Until then be Blessed.

Brunch on Sunday: Parking is tricky because the street is damaged in front of my place (if you own a truck you can park there). Everyone can park along Cortlandt Street as well as on the gravel parking on the side of Harvard Elementary School on 8th Street. Please be sure you are not blockin an entrance to an alley way. My townhome faces 8th and I will put up the flag of Puerto Rico on the flag pole for easier identification.

I am providing a pony keg of Heineken. Fry the alcapurrias and we can keep them warmed up in the oven.

To the "Puerto Rican Culture Loving People" out there, let's not be shy. Let's get motivated and see if this could be another fun and large get together..

    •  It was very nice to meet some new people. Met a few people that were shows the world is small!?!? Coincidence or not I was surprised that Vivianne's mom lives in our neighborhood! and that her children like mine all graduated from J.F. Dobie high school and even stronger that Vivianne is from the same class as my daughter and her brother not far only 2 years ('03 vs. '05) ahead from my youngest son. I'm sorry I missed Bella, she left too soon!?!?!?

I am amazed no one made arroz con gandules. I think everyone assumed the other person was going to make it. The next potluck, we will not assume. The food was great!
