We should be encouraged to learn about our roots and where we are going. If we do not know where we came from we will not know where we are going. We must keep in mind we are a part of the larger Hispanic/Latino community yet not lose our identity. We must not affirm our identity at the expense of other ethnic/racial groups. We must encourage the larger Hispanic/Latino community to be an inclusive and cohesive community. ”

    “ We didn't get a chance to meet anyone because we got there at 6:45 PM but we're thrilled that we learned about the play thru Rafael. And the Q&A was a great culmination of the evening. I would love to see a show of old school Boricua trio music, especially during the holidays. Campo, jibaro music. There's going to be an event at Lehman College with Yomo Toro and some others but I would love to see something puro Boricua at Hostos. We're still talking about the good time we had on Fri. Wonderful choice. ”
